Brown Owls is a bit of an extension of Mikes, I guess – but you don’t have to have even set foot in Mikes to be part of it. The first meeting included lots of girls we knew, and lots of new faces – which was great. We’re aiming to make it a very social club -where you can come and meet nice chicks (or boys – if we get any!) and chat and craft the night away.
We will be taking special care of our shy Newbies – be sure to let us know if you’re feeling a little anxious so we can take extra special care to look after you!
All you Tweenie (casual) members – please let me know if you are feeling shy – just send us an email via the Brown Owls site and we’ll look out for you.
We are about to announce a new night – which will be especially for casual members – just go to the Brown Owls website and register your interest. You’ll receive an email to let you know when bookings open.
If you want to be informed of what is going on at Brown Owls – registering is the best way. It costs nothing and you don’t have to sign up for anything – just the Brown Owls emails.
You do not have to be good at ANY crafts to join in! We are geared for the very beginning crafter, as well as the experienced crafter. We all help each other in a nice, fun, supportive, non-competitive environment. It’s all about having a go. It’s NOT about being the best.

Hi Pip. You must have read my mind. I have been reading this blog and looking at the Brown Owls site and asking all those questions.
I am a crafty girl with lots of different interests. I would love to join up but wasn’t sure if anyone could join or if it was more for people who are part of the gang at Meet Me At Mikes. Do you need to be really good at lots of crafts to join in? I also wasn’t sure if there are still places available – it seems like it is already booked out. Anyway I would love more information. I was also thinking about coming along to the Crafty Peeps drinks on March 5th but was feeling a bit shy about that too.
