Hello

20 things i feel good about today!

February 7, 2008

Awww.. there have been a few unexpected dips in the rollercoaster ride for some people I know…. At times like these, you have to concentrate on all the GOOD STUFF we all have going on!

So today, i’m writing 20 things i feel good about – because there really are always things to be happy about, despite the serious stuff life throws out! Maybe you might like to write your 20 things too… even if it’s just on a piece of paper – you can look at it calmly whenever you want to strangle someone.

1. The I Heart Mirabel window is filling up, up and up
2. I’m learning lots making zillions of samples of the projects for our crafty book!
3. I have some really lovely stitchin’, super-sweet friends that always understand me.
4. Someone sent me some beautiful fabric that I love so much! I’m going to frame it and look at it every day – and do you know what? They just did it to be nice!
5. I’m going out tonight to meet some nice people!
6. I might just have an oven in time for our next morning tea! To the lovely people that have emailed me asking who can come to our next morning tea – ANYONE can come! We’d love to meet you – just let me know so i can buy enough iced vo-vos!
7. Brown Owls is working out beautifully and I can’t wait to sip tea and stitch the night away!
8. My kids actually made it to school on time today – and I didn’t have to drive them!
9. Snoopy ran on the road yesterday and didn’t get squished! (phew!)
10. I’m learning to rise above the icky bits in life, and just keep smiling!
11. I am about to have a coffee – and then another – and one later on too! Watch out for me a the launch tonight – i’ll be the one spinning in circles!
12. It’s nearly the weekend – ahhhh – no racing around in the morning! More opportunities to drink coffee!
13. Lots of new people are coming to Mikes every day – and lots of our favourites too!
14. It was cold enough to have a fire last night!
15. We have lots of really nice neighbours and the shops around us are gorgeous! I have a new cafe – and it’s really ace – Radio on Gertrude Street – I feel at home there and it’s a bit dark, so no one can see if i have thread all over me!
16. I finally found the time to colour my hair!
17. Lots of ace people who are working hard are getting the recognition they deserve!
18. I’ve made HEAPS of friends via my blog – people i would never have ‘met’ otherwise – i love my blog for that!
19. My house is slowly taking shape – despite the big bags of fabric and other junk still lurking about the place.
20. We are all healthy, cosy, warm and well fed at our house!

xx mikes

My mum always says ‘count your blessings’ when I am a bit down and out of sorts. It’s positive to be positive! xx

Hey Pip, yes a lovely post! I also needed to write to say my heart will be finished, I might even be able to pop around this arvo and drop it off, if I get it done today. I was going to make an artwork rather than an actual heart, but it will be heart related!

What a great post – we should all take time out to write a list of all the things that are good in your life and dwell on them rather than what bad things are happening.

I love this post. Everyone should take time to smell the roses and focus on what is good. Life is way too short to spend time being negative. Thanks so much for making my day!
