STOP! Today is the day. It’s the day to do something NICE. Something that you WANT to do. What will you do? No ifs. No buts. Do you want to bake a loaf of bread? Do that, and do it happily and slowly and full of fun-ly. Do you want to have a nap? Do it. Do you want to read a book for a little while? Do it? Don’t choose something you HAVE to do. Choose something you want to do. Maybe you want to have a nice piece of cheese after dinner? Or maybe you want to buy yourself a new magazine to flip through? Or maybe you want to read the first ten pages of the newspaper properly? (I don’t!) Would you like to go for an unhurried walk? Would you like a special treat for your lunch? Do you want to make a big pot of tea for yourself, and not just a cup? Do you want a really yum piece of organic fruit? Or a long bath? Or to listen to a record you really like? Do something that takes a bit of time, something that makes you feel happy, and do it today. Go on. Make sure you don’t rush and make sure you take the time to enjoy your thing. Today is the day. Off you go!
xx Pip

Lovely post and a very good idea indeed!
So i was going to start doing my taxes tonight until I read this,so now I am going to make some tea,get comfy in bed and read a book tonight
I'm going to soak my poor old feet.
I am sure my mum had that tea pot! Thanks for the reminder to do something nice for ourselves this week.
PS Loved the crafty film on Sunday night. x
I too, love the tea set!
I just ate a couple of tim tams with my mid-arvo cuppa. I am also going to jump onto ebay and buy a small sewing machine. I have wanted it for a while, and have a small flat which I share with a friend, and I don't really sew much, but would like to do a bit (read: learn how)

Because my girl is at school camp I stayed in bed until 1.38pm. Then I petted the rabbit for a bit. Now I'm reading craft emails. Am trying not to feel too guilty.
I got dolled up for shopping this morning and now I am in my tracky daks until i get into my pjs…
Hazie and I swept the front path, it was festooned with gum leaves, I thought that if my front path was tidy then the rest of me would follow.
What a great idea! I'm going to sew up the tea cozy that I just finished crocheting and then make myself a nice pot of tea to keep cozy. Thanks for the tea cozy patterns a little while back, by the way!
Just about to leave for my writing course Pip, but tonight I'm having a big bowl of slow cooked chicken and tomatoey lentils, a glass of chardy and watching 'Winners and Losers'…yay!! :-))
I also looooooove that tea set too! I try and make Tuesday my do as much craft as I want day. Sometimes that works! My 4yr old daughter has started calling Tuesdays "our" (hers and my) "day off" – because we don't "have" to be anywhere other than pick her brothers up from school. So for optimal funness I better get back to it. I've been sitting in the rocker in her room crocheting while she plays fairies around me 😀 Bliss! Thanks Pip! Oh, and I'm trying not to stress about how to do this full-time!
Ohhh I NEED that coffee/tea set! So cute. Today is my day – can't get to work becasue of snow – hmm off to make a cuppa.
I'm going craft shopping at lunch time then after work, I am going to sit down with a bowl of veggie mash and cheese and watch as many episodes of Mad Men as I can while crocheting.
Oh, and an early night!
I'm thinking damper for lunch. I promise I will try to enjoy making and eating it..despite clingy baby in the house! By the way, I really enjoyed what you had to say on the abc show. Wishing there was a local brown owls here – I might just have to join the "ladies" crafting group down the road. Or start my own one day.
