Someone special sent me some angel chimes in the mail yesterday. I feel so very lucky… it made me teary. The world is really a quite spectacular place, you know?
I’ve taken the handmade pledge this year for Christmas – but I’m stretching it a little to include second-hand things and tiny little shops too (I really think they need the support). I know.. you can all shoot me down if you like – but my ethos is handmade, recycled or independent. So shoot away.. I can take it!
Yesterday I picked up a few handmade treasures from Mikes (!) – plus some lovely things from Douglas and Hope and Robio too. If you get a chance – shop indy in these last few days – little stores really appreciate the support – and big stores don’t.
At Robio they have Shinzi Katoh things, and cute little Mini-Blythes (like the one above!) and Poketo wallets (i bought an S.Britt one) and Seonna Hong stationery too…. and heaps more cute things like the sticky tape with the pictures on it! (And it’s super easy to park on Gertrude St. So go there.)
At Douglas and Hope they have some cute little Decole things (i have the mushroom and the apple one!) – and lovely teapots (with mushrooms on them!) – and pretty soaps… so much nice stuff!
Of course Meet Me at Mikes has really good stuff for Xmas too…!
