You might know that we have a team going for Dry July. Dry July is a month of alcohol abstinence to raise awareness and funds for people who are battling cancer. The prize is The Crafty Minx, a lovely craft book by clever and pretty Craft Goddess, Kelly Doust! It’s a really fun book, chock full of simple and lovely projects that you will really want to make!

That book is great encouragement. It's on my wishlist. My receipt #37654133. I don't drink a lot, so considered giving up chocolate. For a moment.
I donated – #37644162 – because I gave up drinking in 2005, so every day is a dry day for me! Several of my family members have lost a battle with cancer and several others have battled booze and lost, so this fundraiser is doubly meaningful to me.

Such a great idea. When you first wrote about this, I couldn't really participate because I rarely drink, so it would sort of be cheating. But thanks for letting us know we could donate. As a family touched by cancer more than once, as I'm sure many families are – I can only say this is a great thing you are doing and thanks so much. I wish I could give more, but I am a poor student, so I try to give small amounts to the cancer funds, but as often as I can manage. Thanks again. You always have such great ideas.

Good luck and because I have no will power and commented that on your blog, I felt I would be best to donate than go dry. I've since given it some thought and guilt has gotten the better of me and I'm going to have two dry nights a week for July. It's the best I can do, I'm a weak Piscean.
