Hello!
Just a quick little hello to say that something pretty ace is JUST about to happen… Last year Vogue Japan contacted me, asking if they could do a piece about Softies For Mirabel. They had been reading about the work we were all doing right here on this blog! I have no idea why they were reading my blog… maybe they found me through Hello Sandwich?! She is a Vogue girl! I am hardly a Vogue girl, although I do buy Australian Vogue and American Teen Vogue… I especially like the fashion in Teen Vogue!
Anyhoo, Vogue aside, for me Softies For Mirabel is all about the people who MAKE toys and the kids who RECEIVE the toys and of course, very importantly about THE MIRABEL FOUNDATION. So I put Vogue in touch with Mirabel, directly, so they could sort out something cute and appropriate, between the two of them. And that is what they did. I am very proud to say that they made a cute animation involving lots of the softies everyone made… and they did a piece about our work in their magazine too. (This year is our FIFTH YEAR of running the Softies for Mirabel campaign. Thanks to you guys.)
I will post a link to the video here when it is online… but I have seen it and it is adorable. I just wanted to tell you about it, because I thought you would be excited too! Everyone who has helped with the Softies for Mirabel campaign in any way whatsoever should give themselves a BIG pat on the back! Go you guys! You are ace.
