Meet Mike

OK.. drum-roll… this is the real Mike. It’s not a MAN. It’s a cat. She’s stroppy and feral and proud and purry and SHE BITES!

And this is a softie version of Mike.. she’s floppy and covered in bunnies and she’s cuddly.. not much like the REAL Mike… but equally nice. Made by the aceness herself!

Softies are flavour of the month at the moment.. I’ve bought BOTH the Softie books that have been released in the last month or so.. and drooled and wondered…. what to make.. who to make it for… you too? Let’s make softies make a difference!

Here’s your chance to do something gorgeous with your sewing machine.. apart from make HANDMADE Christmas presents! Please get involved in our Softies for Mirabel project! Even the most inexperienced crafter can do their bit! Give it a go! You can handsew if you want… Whatever it takes.. make a SOFTIE and send some HANDMADE love to a cool kid that really could do with it!

We’ve set up a special online gallery – so when you DO make your softie – upload the pic so we can all see it for years to come!

All Softies will be displayed in the Mikes window for 2 weeks before they make their trek to St Kilda’s Mirabel North Pole to be sorted by lovely, crafty, caring elves and passed on to naughty and nice children!
