Hello! Hi! How  is it all going, petal?

I am going good. A bit weary, limping to the finish line, but pretty good on the whole!

I did a bit of Christmas shopping today at Wilkins and Kent (on my street) and I saw these adorable enamelware things from TMOD. I had not heard of them before, but that is because I have been working/watching Gilmore girls and not getting out enough. As you can see I should have heard of them! Enamelware is a favourite thing of mine!

I bought one of the KNOT mugs for my brother, but I’m really loving the DAISY CHAIN one and teapot AND the plates as well! I thought you might be into them too!

On another note, I hope your end-of-year preparations are going well and that you are having nice times with your family or faves. It can be such a hard time of the year, right? The other day our whole house was arguing. Then we all left. Then we came back at various intervals. The next day I found the Christmas tree had been pushed/kicked over.  Things can get a bit fraught, can’t they? I am not sure why… I guess it’s just been a tough couple of weeks for a lot of us.

(Don’t worry though. Everyone’s fine and dandy, and the steam has officially been let off. Phew. Here is our Christmas tree, post-crossness, in case you need an actual glimpse into my perfect life!)

Christmas Tree whoops!

Love to you!! May your tree remain upright (if you have one!)

x Pip

PS: I finished Season 7 of Gilmore girls and I am starting at Season 1 again, to make sure I didn’t miss a thing. #nuts
PPS: I finished Serial! Did you?
PPPS: Look at our Softies For Mirabel window NOW!! Thanks everyone who helped me with this!! More photos here. They head off to the kids The Mirabel Foundation supports on Tuesday.

Aw thanks! And thanks for being so supportive of my blog and the things I have been doing. I really appreciate it more than you know. Merry Christmas!! xxx

That enamelware is very swoon inducing!! I wish I’d seen this before I’d done all of my Christmas shopping. We’ve had a bit of a tense household in our parts as well. Christmas time and end of year school stuff is just so busy I think everyone is on edge. Our household includes a menopausal mum, a surly smart mouthed 15 year old, hormonal 12 year old and a very energetic 8 year old and my poor Libran husband is just trying to keep it all together in his calm balanced way. It can be tough but we get through it. I really wanted to thank you for bringing the Softies for Mirabel cause to so many people’s attention. I was so happy to be involved this year and will continue to do so. It is a wonderful cause that needs to be highlighted. Thank you for all your great work. x

AW man. Most years I super-love Christmas, but this year has been harder for some reason. I think all the terrible things that have happened in the last 2 weeks have really provided some perspective. I am hoping that we ease into Christmas Eve feeling a bit more chipper. I hope that happens for you too.

My pleasure, re Mirabel. I wish there was more we could do. I am going to think of some more Mirabel ideas next year. Their funding was reduced when our government reshuffle happened so they need our support more than ever.

Wishing you a super merry christmas, Deb. Thanks for your support. Love to you. xx

    Hey There,
I just have to say I just finished serial not 20 minutes ago. Love a podcast. I can keep being a busy bee and listen too! Watching stuff is great for crocheting, embroidery and knitting but a podcast is versatile. I can water the vegies, hang out the washing, wrap a present or use the sewing machine . The final episode left me with chills, unbelievable. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so I won’t say much.
    bye.

I agree! How about audio books? I think they are good for crafting, although mostly I listen to them when I am walking! Next year I am going to do more craft/listening (under your advisement!) for SURE! xxx

Thanks to a lovely bout of Christmas cold I have not finished shopping, but did finish season 7 of gilmore girls. Win! But what to binge watch now? ABC christmas movies starring ex 90210 cast members can only fill so much of the gap!

I am just watching Gilmore Girls all over again. I am aiming to be a WORLD EXPERT in Lorelai and Rory. I KNOW I can do it!!! xx

The enamelware is fab! I’ve finished my Christmas shopping so I’ll keep them in mind for the next birthday!
Yes, things have been a bit fraught in my neck o’ the woods too. Hopefully today marks the start of happier times round here. I think we all just need some proper do-nothing time.
I listened to the final serial episode on Friday while doing some housework – I thought it finished strongly, I’m in awe of the pain staking research and it’s articulate, accessible presentation. I actually shed a tear or two when the final music started playing! Looking forward to hearing what they do next!
I hope you and your family have a lovely holiday season!

Oh.my! Those mugs! Pip, if enamelware is your thang, have you checked out this little folklore collection from Wild & Wolf? I can’t get enough if the day and night enamel coffee pots! http://www.wildandwolf.com/search?searchterm=Folklore

Oh YES! I have one of their teapots! *swoon* But I have not seen their site, so thank you for the link, Lynn!! xx
