:: Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back In The Water…

Here is the thing.   I was very scared of Jaws.  I watched the movie many times, hands over eyes and only peeking a tiny bit at the gory parts.  Even though I could tell that Mr Jaws was really some sort of giant robot shark made from baked bean tins and foil and old saucepan lids, he completely frightened the daylights out of me.  The idea of some giant toothy metal monster sploshing about under the sea was not a good one.  I was very sure that every dark seaweedy patch I spied from the beach was a girl eating predator just waiting to crunch my legs off with one bite.
Now, I am a bit older.  I am still scared of Jaws (and Moby Dick) despite their fakery.  BUT I like the idea of making a crafty, woolly shark. I think you can slowly get used to the idea of said shark, if you are fashioning it bit by bit.  You could even leave the teeth out and make I gummy shark.  Also, I know that wet woolly things will sink and will not even be able to heartlessly gnaw at my limbs or bather bottoms.  Phew.
How good are these?!  So good.  I would let them chase me ’round.
