Hello

Playmobil…

October 3, 2007

All talk is of retro toys lately.. and I do love the super-neat PLAYMOBIL! Such cheery little stiff people!

Just look at them! Did you have Playmobil.. or did you have Lego? Or did you have both… or do a bunk and go Meccano!?

Today I was in the shop and had some truly LOVELY visitors.. and Cam was in the new shop putting some finishing touches on the back gate and fitting rooms and the like!

Molly helped out too!

AND… even more things for the New Mikes arrived! It’s going to be a FEAST for one and all!

I made Ari a cool little oversized 80s style tee with a guitar print all over it…. of course I got the fabric at SPOTLIGHT! Stay tuned for pics!

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz… night.. renovators.. delight!
Looking forward to being.. open, not tired, not messy, not tonsilly, not stressed!

xx to youse alls!

Go mark barretta…
xx mikes

    We had Fabuland.

i love it best as I didn’t realise how ‘niche’ it was at the time, and reliatively unheard of now ( it was a kinder version of Lego, but smaller than Duplo )

Ohh, the cute, the cute – it’s killing me! We had loads of Playmobil at my house (though we called it ‘Little Men’ for some reason) – my Mum kept a bunch and I have it now for my littles. I remember one Christmas I received the builder set of Playmobil, and Mum had wrapped the bucket but there were little playmobil guys climbing all over the parcel. So fun!

Yes i am a Playmobil kid! Still have them. One of my sisters had the hospital one. I remember loving the wheelchair. I had the western set. They are very cool.
I am in Melbourne for a visit in a couple of weeks so I must pop in and say hello!
Pity you don’t have a stitching night on Oct 21. I would love to come 🙂

I love Playmobil, we had helps when we were little and I played with it all the time. We still have it, for kids who come to our house. Although some of the peoples hair has been pulled off and they do look a little scary with that hole. I love all the animals.
mY mum still buys it as presents. It’s become rather fancy these days- the ones we have were a bit more simple.

I love playmobil! We have tons and tons. I love all the teeny tiny bits that they come with and how everyones hair is interchangeable. I have no idea how to spell interchangeable. I also love that they are not made in China.

What about Fisher-Price? I still have lots of my collection – Little People Camper, Schoolhouse, Farm, Carousel etc, they are the best of all!

Oh, can you tell i’m ill?? Desperately spending my waking hours looking at blogs as i’m too sick to sew. Not too sick to drive a child to A&E with a gash to the head from a driveway rumble with another sibling, that was fun. Let’s just say, child 4 pushed child 2 & child 2 looked like an axe to the head victim, sans axe. What was your post about again?? Lego, love it, i am still such a Lego fan, my favourite thing to impale myself on, playing on the floor pretending to be 4 again. Love Posie
