:: This Is My Hair (& Book Shoot Prep, Llamas, Overalls…)

It’s my book shoot on Friday. I went to the hairdresser today to fancy my hair. When you write a book, they take photo of you for the back or inside cover. Usually it’s at the end of the shoot when you are feeling really tired. If you look at my book photos you will probably be able to see that. I am probably a) with eye-bags b) hiding random props in my hair or c) devoid of lipstick.

This time I’m not going to be caught out. The author shot is early in the day, so I won’t look all shoot-ed out. And I’ve got new hair. AND they are sending hair and make-up to make sure I don’t look too feral. Phew. I feel glad about that.

Another thing is that I am wearing overalls. Right now. I know. People HATE overalls. I don’t. I love them. I am wearing them and everyone who hates them is WELCOME to laugh at me. I’m cool with that. Yep.

Apart from that I got a dress from Obus, just in case I need to pop up in some crafty shots in the book. The dress has llamas on it. I KNOW. Some people hate llama dresses. They are not my kind of people. I show them the door.

NOW I have to gather all the props and bits and bots we will need on Friday. A baby and a puppy are also visiting the shoot. And it’s all looking a bit cute, even if I do say so myself.

The book release date has moved to March/April next year. I KNOW. It’s ages away! Still, I am happy. It gives me heaps of time to makes sure everything is the way I want it to be. I am so proud of this book already. It’s turning out to be pretty useful/special/pretty.
