painting, planning and picnicking!
Mikes 2 is coming along nicely… tomorrow we paint the exterior of the shop and start buying new shelves and racks and things! Eeeek-citement!
We had lots of visitors yesterday – and got the shop all painted fresh-as-a-daisy inside! The boys played in the park over the road.. and we made lots of plans for the upstairs! Yipp-eee!
Lots of great gals are busily making lovely things for the new shop.. and we are collecting stock from all over to make it super special. We’re on track to open in about 3 weeks time… Hurrah!
My sister arrived for a quick visit from Sydney. We had pizza and a big delicious dinner of chorizo and chickpea one-pot wonder! YUM! And a surprise bottle of delicious champagne to toast our exciting new projects!
Today we got the boys off to school and snuck a quick breakfast at The European on Spring St – delicious! Then we’re off to IKEA to see what might be good for the new shop… and it’s cold here.. so spaghetti and meatballs for dinner sounds excellent!

All of that talk about yummy food was making me hungry. A creamy chicken and mushroom pasta is on the menu tonight for my little tribe.
The days are absolutely divine here at the moment but the nights are extreamly fresh, great for snugglin’ up.

hi pip! the new store is looking good… what wonderful helpers you have! i’m in chicago and tho it is going to warm up today, it is 60 degrees inside the brick buildiing where we live. brrrrrrr. hot curry soup tonight!
I am in my living room, listening to the kids talk to each other as they wake up. It is going to be 80 here today in the burbs of Chicago.

it’s very hot here and i just had some cheap but nice $3 noodle dinner.

And for dinner I ate scrambled eggs with capsicum, herbs & parmesan, on toast. Mmmm!
hard work but those cakes make it worthwhile Im sure!

I am across the road from Richmond Mikes. Its cold- but oh so shiny outside. I’m in my lounge- putting off starting an assignment and thinking that tonight i will have either tuna salad or vegemite toast for dinner. hmmmm.

I told my little guy that I was making some bags for Mikes in Australia, and he asked if he could come with me – now I’m tempted to come and see for myself! Seems so beautiful… and so full of wonderful and crafty ladies!
I’m always fascinated by the time difference – you live in the future to me! I’m just off to bed now, and it’s tomorrow afternoon where you are. That probably sounds so dumb – of course we’re all in different time zones…. but it’s funny nonetheless – to me, anyways.
only 3 more weeks. How excitement ! I cant wait to visit the new shop and see all the lovely things people have been making.
