Hey Pip, this is my first time visiting your blog. Love it! Hope you had a great birthday. Could not believe it when I saw this picture – I have this book!!! I used to read and read and read this book when I was a little girl and imagine that I had fireworks at my birthday and that I could go and get my hair done before my party and that I had a little dog that could dance and smile … and so and and so on!!!! Great memories. Keep up the crafty goodness.

Happy Birthday Pip!Just went back to your 2007 post for your sister’s birthday.It reminded me so much of my childhood.Lunch at my Nan’s always meant sitting on the couch with our “t.v tables”,eating party pies and watching “The Mike Walsh Show”.Maybe this would better kept for the “Cosy” collection!

I pop in every now and then and am fascinated by your Header and now this photo… are they by Marcel Marlier? My girls & boys loved the 'Mary' books by Gilbert Delahaye and these drawings look like they belong in those books. They were written in Belgium and they called the little girl 'Martine' I think.
That certainly looks like Mary in the black hat and the dog looks like Polly 🙂 My oldest daughter is almost 38 so I think they must have been printed here in the 1970's. Not many of my friends children had 'Mary' books so that's why I'm so fascinated.
