Today is my sister’s birthday. Do you have a sister? My sister is super cute. Even now that she’s grown up. When we were little, I was totally jealous of her gorgeous red hair and her cute lil face. She was adorable and is adorable even now.
There’s something great about sisters, isn’t there? They’re sort of like having a best friend but even better. When you are small you are your own gang. You can roll your eyes at the same things. You have the same jokes. You grew up pushing the same stuff off your plate and onto the floor for the dog to eat. You have matching beds. You can swap doll’s clothes. And you can pass on your extremely most VERY favourite items of kid clothes to her, if you are older (I am!)
You can look at photos of your sister and remember bits of growing up. And you can keep growing up together, too, because I’m not sure you ever really get there. It’s a total work in progress life-time thing.
If you don’t have a sister, that’s okay. Just find someone really lovely and make them your sister. You don’t have to miss out. You can DIY. True.
