Aw dude faces.
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments the other day. You gave me the biggest squeeze a gal could ever need. I’m feeling twenty gajillion times better now, thanks to you.
I’m in Sydney for the weekend. It’s my sister’s birthday week so I’m hanging out with her and my nephew and niece (and B-i-L). Eating nice food and doing nice things.
I do love the plane. I always get a coffee and some of those packet cheese and crackers. Then I sit there nibbling like a hamster. I started reading Tim Winton’s Breathe on the plane, as hamsters do. I also got to sit next to two really nice ladies who I didn’t know. They were actually completely adorable. That’s always a good thing. Better than sitting next to the non-adorable, I think. In addition to these things, the Sunrise team (sans Kochie…. phew!) were on the plane with me. That felt a bit sparkly. I am sure they were there just to be near me.
Tomorrow we’re going for a birthday lunch by the water somewhere snazzy, and then I’m going to hang with the littlies while my sister has a fancy night out. I’m very much looking forward to PJs, tea and toast with tiny people who hug a lot.
As a treat, I bought myself these clogs and also this dress. This will be my pre-PJ outfit. Also my mum bought me this dress and these shoes as a treat. I am winning in the clog and frock department at the moment. It’s quite good because my health kick has made all my old clothes a bit roomy. It was time for something that fitted.
And as you know, I cut my crooked fringe especially for this birthday occasion. Last time I was in Sydney my hair looked like somewhere hedgehogs would nest, so I’m making more of an effort this time. You are WELCOME, Sydney.
Anyhoo, post fashion update, I just wanted to pop in and say thanks though. It means a lot that people took the time to say a big hello. I am TOTALLY rewarded!
xx Pip
PS: Also. I really miss my family when I go away. It’s only two nights, for Pete’s sake. Am I completely nuts? Also, who is Pete?
