Last year, the First Tuesday Book Club show made a list of Australia’s favourite books (as voted by viewers/readers.)

We’ve done lots of book club choosing here on this blog. THIS time, I thought we could all choose a book from their list. I thought we could even make the First Tuesday of each month book chat day, a la the ABC.  Does that sound like a good idea?  Yes? Maybe we could even do a monthly giveaway… and get publishers to send us great books to share?! Am I onto something? Maybe?

There’s a few books I have read on this list, but there’s lots I haven’t.  There’s some I’d like to re-read… and a few I am a bit amazed that I have not taken the time to get acquainted with. Here’s their list:
