:: Doing Some Things. Making Some Things.

April 15, 2013

Hello!

How was your weekend? Mine was really nice. I was super exhausted, so I wimped out of Tim & Kit’s gig on Friday night. I stayed home with Ari and crocheted and watched The Hour.

I love The Hour. How could they axe it? I do not know how. I didn’t even know I loved it until Friday when I started watching Season One again. I had watched the first ep ages ago, but I got waylaid.  On Friday I was back in like Flynn with Hector and Freddie. It was a good way to spend the evening, I can tell you.

I started crocheting a new blanket too. It’s a fan blanket and I am a bit in love with it. It’s super soft and really quick to work up. I’m not sure where it’s destined for yet… there are a few places it could go.

I dragged out the superfave NY Times Cookbook and baked some bread inspired by Gourmet Girlfriend. Have you made The NY Times No Knead Bread? It’s a great recipe. You should try it!

I made these brownies. And I made an apple cake from the latest Feast magazine (did you know that Hugo & Elsa styles some of the shoots for Feast? She does!)   I made roast chicken for Sunday lunch and meatballs for Sunday dinner. And I made some Lemon & Lime Curd (inspired by Michelle Crawford and Matthew Evans!) too.

I went to a lovely friend’s house last night for drinks with a whole bunch of great people. (It was the speaker’s drinks for the Big Hearted Business speakers. SO MANY NICE PEOPLE!)

And today I got up very early to check all the links were clicking-through on this post for a blogger’s program I’m working on (it went live at 5am!)  And I finished off this new daily feature for JustB (I LIKE it!)

I got a great package in the mail from Odgers and McClelland. A gift of some baking dishes I have been coveting. They are SO great and I am a bit lucky to have them, I think!

How about you? What is your news?  I’d love to know!
