We had a week down at Venus Bay. (You might already know that!) I am a sucker for a vintage beach house and when I googled ‘Retro. Beach House. Gippsland’ this is what came up. It’s a cute two bedroom refurbished holiday house. It’s lost NONE of its charm and was exactly what we wanted. There’s a HUGE deck out the back and a brand new ensuite bathroom (as well as another bathroom). All this a bracing ten minute walk from the beach made it a winner for us. You need to drive to the shops (about 5 minutes) so it’s not in the thick of things… and it was lovely and QUIET (apart from the crazy bird life!)

PS: Internet coverage is very patchy from this house (if you take your own portable wifi dongle thingy!) I had to work from the main street of Venus Bay where the reception was better!
