:: Bunker Down and Rest Up….

October 1, 2009

Hey! How are you? Watchabeen doing? It’s the school holidays here in Melbourne. It’s nice, you know? You get to stop your normal routine and spend quiet times with your ace little people. Well. Some of them are quite big now, actually! But anyways, it’s a nice time.

The weather has been pretty unremarkable, so we’ve been watching lots of dvds and making things and eating stuff and going for walks and working in the shop and visiting the library and generally bunkering down and resting up.

I’ve been working on my new book, crocheting a lot and watching grown up DVDs too. I rarely make time to watch films, but lately I have been, and I feel kind of spoilt and lucky because of it. I’ve watched the BBC 2006 Production of Jane Eyre about 8 times. So good. Despite some glitches in the way they adapted Charlotte Bronte’s story. Still so good. YOU MUST see it if you aren’t into Jane Eyre, because it will have you hooked! I also watched Sabrina (the old version), Atonement (oh a bit weepy-sad and very romantic), Elizabeth (exciting!) and I can’t remember what else…

I think I’m recharging a bit after a bit of a ‘rough trot’, as my mum would say. It seems like a good idea to recharge and do nice stuff when things are a bit lacklustre. And lacklustre they were, but I’m sure that’s all behind us, right?!

I finished Max’s blanket. I made some granny squares from lovely 4ply baby merino. I did some Gocco printing… So I’ve been humming along quietly, but not really bothering to take many photos. But that’s okay, right, because we don’t ALWAYS have to document EVERYTHING we do.

I think I’m going to print my blog into a book soon.
Ari made me an account on Adventure Quest, which he is proceeding to use to get me heaps of gold and really good weapons and stuff. Cool.
I submitted my project for the next Frankie Magazine’s craft pages.
I have 3 chapters left in Jane Eyre to read.
And I’m making pumpkin soup later on.

These were the random ramblings of me.

What are you doing, ace reader types?

xx Pip
