N is for…

I try to be nice (sometimes I slip). I like nice things. I like nice people. I think you should do nice stuff for one another. It feels nice. I also like Nice biscuits.. and have never been to Nice.

Because I forgot to put cuddle for ‘C’, Jess suggested I put nuzzle. Nuzzle is what mothers do to babies.. and it’s cute and warm and fuzzy. I think if everyone got one (nice) nuzzle each day, then things would go along just fine. Cam and I are sort of beyond the nuzzle.. we are more of a niggle then a nuzzle.

They’re good. I don’t like instant noodles.. but I love Malaysian noodles like Mee Goreng, Fried Kway Teow, Mee Rebus and Laksa. They are soupy, or slurpy or just plain satisfying. I like a squeeze of lemon on them, just to sharpen them up. And a bit of crunch, like some fried golden shallots. Mmmm.

She’s ace. I like her matinee-star hair, and her curviness.. and even though some of her recipes don’t work too great, I still love her.

I’ve nearly started my embroidered cushion cover, a quilt for Ari’s bed, the 60s mini muu-muu with little fluttery sleeves, a new batch of pears, a new bag, a wee-wonderfuls pattern softie.. nearly.. i have the best of intentions.

My nan is lovely.. and she’s the one who instilled in me a love of baked goodies. I think I’m a bit like her in that I like to bake ’em.. but don’t need to eat much of ’em to feel satisfied. She makes great coconut tarts, jelly cake, scones and jam. She also always had her hair put up nicely, wore lovely long coats and had nice clicky shoes. And she can fit about 100 bobby pins in her hair and you never can see even ONE of them. And she has nice perfume.
