Jingle
Some girls jingle.. they wear their jewellery in a musical way.. and play a little tune everywhere they go. I on the other hand don’t. I forget to wear jewellery most of the time, and if it weren’t for Victoria.. I would wear none at all. I just am practical – despite my love of whimsy – and I hate things getting in my way.. or rubbing.. or itching.. which most jewellery does. Cam also got me a really nice Lea Stein dachshund brooch which I do love and wear…

Jargonelle
I just discovered this word. It means an early ripening pear. What’s the rush I say.. surely we all ripen quite nicely with age?!

Jam
I love raspberry jam. It is my favourite and my best. I sometimes make Nigella Lawsons oven baked jam – it’s like a magical chemical reaction in gorgeous raspberry hues! You should try it.. Someone else wrote about this here. It’s from the above book.

June
Such a nice name. I love old fashioned Nanna names. June, Myrtle, Mabel, Esme… so very pleased that they are back in vogue.

Jumble
I am a jumbly person. My life is a series of jumbled diary entries, jumbled objects and jumble sales. But there is always a purpose to my jumble. If i didn’t have jumble in my life.. i would feel a bit faint and uninspired. I would feel bland and beige. Taupe even. Yick.

I have an old- fashioned nana middle name- Violet. I quite like it- its my paternal grandmother’s name- she died before I was born. Somehow I have some of her personality traits which leads some of my family to call me ‘grandma’….

Was dying to see what you put up for J, i like it. I like J for Jennie. My 8y.o. Brigh’s middle name is Mabel, named after my great auntie who lived until she was 112. When i told Brigh her great great Auntie Mabel had died, she asked how old she was. I said “112, isn’t that amazing??” & she said “shouldn’t she have died when she turned 100??” Love her. Love Posie
