hello!
Here are some more of the granny squares I’ve been working on!
These pastelly ones are mostly made with the yarn I bought at the Brown Owls Camberwell Market meet last weekend. The man at the market has really pretty colours (not the usual garish ones I like!) but I forgot to get blue! I really need some more blue – and perhaps a bit of a play around with some darker colours I think!
It’s certainly not too late to join in the A Granny A Day game, if you would like to!
A Granny A Day is over here too!
xx Pip

Helloooo,
I was feeling blue today, so I thought “Meet Me At Mikes might cheer me up”! And it did. That, and the prospect of making pom poms tonight. Thank you for your cheering upness Pip! xxx
we should see more of these around melbourne ๐ hehe
the granny squaring by you is just quite delightful. i can certainly imagine a cute little fluffy cat curled up on your dear rug when it is finished! oh, how picture perfect that will be.

Hey Pip! Love the grannies…
Not sure if you’ve ever done it before (as I’m new to blogging) but do you think you could do a blog on what you should have in a ‘basic/beginner’ sewing kit?
I’m really new to the craft world and I brought some material from Ikea the other day to make the yoga baby pants for my little boy but I have no idea what I should buy to go in a sewing kit.
p.s. I love your blog and your book.
Your colour combo’s are DIVINE! I think I am going to have to Single White Female you on those colour ways!

Those squares are gorgeous! No doubt, the outcome will be amazing.
Your colour combinations and choices are so inspired – I think that’s a bit of a talent!
I love the green with grey one! SUper squares you have! ๐
have only just learned to crochet but find it such fun and i love seeing what everyone else is making. am making granny squares but in big wool so they are mahoosive, and hopefully won’t take too long to make a blanket!!

I just learned to make granny squares this week! It’s quite addicting and I have no idea what I’ll make with them but I’ll keep going until I run out of yarn!
Your colors are lovely!
I’ll be joining in as soon as I can make a granny! I think I’ve mastered (well, “can do” is probably more accurate) chain stitching, but that is as far as it gets. I’m doing something wrong when it comes to turning the chain into the centre ring, and then stitching into the chain, yeah right, it isn’t happening. I need to find some brown owls to give me remedial crochet lessons – I’m a hard case! LOL ๐ Can’t wait to join in when I can!
I love your Granny’s and I love the grannies on flickr. I don’t have an account but intend to set one up. Hope to get it done in time to post some photos
Loving the sweet colors Pip! Its really great to see what everyone is puting together. Makes me want to try new combos too. chele
