Hello

These things are good…

July 26, 2007
Mikes day… here we go…
Ari’s Artwork.. a happy, sleepy boy.. in a bed with pretend clouds and raindrops… and a lovely bright quilt. Oh Ari. I gave Ari a softie sea-horse I found at Savers today.. and he called him Serroney and said.. if you make a wish.. when a seahorse sneezes.. it will come true…. imagine!
Stocking up for Stitching Night…
A pattern I have seen on another nice blog…
Yum… is it OK to scan these? On special at Coles – Arnott’s Assorted Creams.
Today was a lovely day.. lots of nice people..and exciting plans a-foot… and I made some curtains for the kitchen shelves.. and they are polka-dotted.. and striped too.. and nearly pink.. but really red! It’s OK Max.. they’re not PINK!
Saying hello especially tonight to Allison J and Jennie Mc and Mandy too!
Here’s what I like… op-shops, hazelnut cadbury’s chocolate, bloody marys, vintage sewing baskets, old pillowcases, TVs with inbuilt VCRS, red ghetto-blasters, Bryan Ferry, Frankie magazine, super smudgy oil pastels, Arnott’s orange creams and some other things too.. What do you like?
xx mikes
I will draw the cousins comp winner on Sunday… be in it.. see previous post that I am too lazy to link to!

Speaking of vintage sewing baskets, do you have any extra-nice ones for sale at Mike’s? My utiliarian (read: ugly) one just broke, but I hate all the ones out there for sale at the McCrafty-type stores. Help!

Awe, shucks, thanks for the cheerio honey!! We have yet another long weekend here, Friday is Darwin Show Day, or as we considered it when we first moved to the NT in 1998 – any excuse for a day off in the Territory. No, we’re not going to the Show as we told the children Disneyland was their big show for the year/ decade. As you can imagine, Brigh wouldn’t get on a ride without checking the engineer (read: carnie) qualifications & service records. She prefers to fly Qantas too. Not bad for 8y.o. You’d love her report Pip, as she got straight As plus special mention for athletics, friendship & art. Back to you . . . have a lovely weekend. Drew will be teaching our ‘just tall enough’ twinnies how to ride without training wheels, while Roar the hoon is on his big big big sister’s old purple Cyclops bike, complete with dolphin basket & trainers. He refuses to have it painted any other colour. “Pink is my favourite colour”. Love him. Tally ho, love Posie (Jennie Mc) PS got more card stock in today, so Peggy-Jean is creating a lovely new collection of pretty cards for you. She says hi!!
