:: Where Are You At?!

I am in Sydney at the moment, working from my sister’s place, with my cute nephew as co-pilot. Aw.

Normally, of course, I blog from Melbourne, but not today. I flew in on Sunday, reading From Plate To Pixel on the plane and listening to Clare Bowditch’s Australian playlist on the in-flight audio thingy.

I’ve been making soup, playing with teddies, snuggling in the rocking chair, sitting on the grass talking about how you shouldn’t eat leaves, flipping French Toast, watching Charlie and Lola, wiping noses, bubbling baths, drinking tea, changing nappies, patting cats and doing my JustB work in between all that.

My kids are SO VERY far from babies. They are not there anymore. It’s nice to visit another city and another time. Sydney. Baby time. Awww. I’m liking it. I am.

Where are you? (City? Or Life Phase? Or both?)

I am in Sydney. In Toddler Time! Working during kidlet nap times!

(But I was in Melbourne. Parenting kids who are pretty independent and working at lots of different times!)

I'm at home on the couch – sick day. My partner and I are talking about having babies. One day. Maybe. (Maybe-babies)

in Wales, and have just realised that my babies arn't anymore…. 10 going on 20, 8 and 5. I miss it, but love watching them grow, and make decisions and decide stuff for themselves – and i still get snuggles sometimes!

I am on the Gold Coast. I am currently awaiting my first baby. I am 28 weeks and counting down. So excited and can't wait to meet her.

I'm in Sydney.
With one liitle one in school & one still at home.
We no longer change nappies, but we do watch Charlie & Lola
I work when they sleep.

I miss baby time. My kids are past it too. It makes me sad & excited all at once. We still aren't sure if we are ready to say good bye to the idea of more babies but time is getting away….
Your days in Sydney sound great. I hope you have lots of fun!!

How fast it goes!! I'm waiting to wrap my little girl up in my arms as she gets off the plane from her 6 month big European adventure, she's 20!!

Flowers for YOU!

Hello!

I had a really good day today. I totally did. I woke up to 765 comments on the sooky post I wrote yesterday. So that was nice. They were all lovely comments, too! I decided to keep writing my blog even through those comment-droughts because I can see you are all popping in and I am guessing you like it here too!

I had lunch with Kirst and Shaz and got to meet baby Harriet and fill Sadie up with WAY too many chocolate biscuits. I made sandwiches (chicken, almond, mayo, mint, mustard) and we had iced water and plenty of chatter. (It was very humid and warm in Melbourne today.)

I hung out with Bec and her lovely pals including another adorable baby who looked like a Kewpie doll and could roll over like a coffee scroll (with equal sweetness.)

I had a glass of wine with Gemma and Polly and little ‘Liv and we drew pictures of Miffy and talked about lime and lemon and rain and dogs.

I got a present from the always brilliant and clever Lyn which was totally unexpected and so nice. It is so nice to get unexpected presents. I like them a lot. Feel free to send me presents.

I got some emails from people who bought my new book and had made things and were happy and had learned some stuff. And I found out that even Myer is stocking our new book. Imagine that.

I wrote my column for Michigirl (it will be up on Wednesday and features a lovely Melbourne crafter) and I am super happy with it. I like writing and I especially like to try and cram a lot into the few lines that is a Michi column. It’s fun.

So… that is where I am at, at the moment!
