:: Do You Love Vintage School Charts?

July 9, 2012

1) French School Map from Bridgeman Art On Demand 2) Birdy Chart from Legal Miss Sunshine on Etsy 3) Creature Chart from Bonnie and Bell 4) Colour Chart from Vintage Printables
Do you like these vintage school charts. I think they are pretty amazing. I’m a bit into the colours and the illustrated style of these. Perhaps you like them too?
You can find these on Etsy and eBay… and perhaps at your local second hand dealer if you are super lucky. (Shop local if you can!)
Did you have an ace weekend? We went to Ballarat and Ballan, tripping about a bit. I have an AMAZING op shop find to show you later… and some tales to tell!  What did you do?
I’ll be back later with a weekend/life update!

xx Pip

I never thought about it before, but now I think I love them! At work we have a collection of hand drawn/painted oversized zoology lecture posters, that remind me of The Creature Chart, love! (but would take up 90% of my wall if I had one!) 🙂

Hah! We did not get to that one! I am TOTALLY GOING BACK, now!!! (We drove PAST it, but weren't sure what it was all about!) x

I love vintage school charts! They are super awesome- my sister was lucky enough to find one with a map of Australia on it, which I am very jealous about! I had a lovely weekend going to a knitting class with my sister and then going out for dinner for my brother-in-law's b'day. Can't wait to see your newly discovered op shop later!

I love the birds #2. Have been stuck home with dreaded winter cold. Looking forward to going to Ballarat – Christmas in July at Sovereign Hill sounds tempting.

I lurve #4! The grid format gives it structure, the variety of gemstone colors gives it some oomph.

I bet the Op shop is the Ballan Lioness Opshop – Steptoes.

OOh they are right up my street. Perhaps I am sinking into my second(or possibly 3rd) childhood but who cares. I shall be keeping my eyes peeled. We have been decorating and watching cricket (unlike the millions here watching tennis. A very damp but happy weekend.
