Hello Listen/Watch/Read

:: A Couple Of Lovely Books…

June 9, 2012

Found at The Mill last weekend (in Daylesford.)  Have you been there, Melbourne peeps? It’s pretty great. I wish I was there now, in fact, but I am at home learning how to use InDesign, drinking coffee, listening to the cars swish by and waiting for Ari’s Butter Chicken to be cooked.

I’m having a really nice time.

What are you up to today? I’m going to do some crochet and watch telly soon.  And eat some BBQ Pork Buns from Victoria Street. Y to the UM. Do you like those?

I hope your day is humming along nicely!

xx Pip

    I think old books are my first love, I am even attached to the musty smell! I'm about ready for a re-read of Jane Eyre, I must go and hunt down my dear old battered copy!

    Hi Pip, Jane Eyre is my all time favourite book. Our class read it in high school, but i never truely appreciated it until years later, when i didn't 'have' to read it but wanted to read it. I'm sure my tattered high school copy will be devoured a few more times before i give it to my daughter to read in years to come!

    Lovley books Pip, I love the Mill in Geelong, haven't been to Daylesford yet.
    Today I am having some cousins come and visit for afternoon tea so I am baking up a storm and listening to Big Band music, pretty much a perfect day.

    When I was a teenager I bought and read every one of Gerald Durrell's books. And of course, Jane Eyre is one of my absolute favourites. I re-read Jane Eyre and Gerald Durrell's My Family and Other Animals every couple of years.

    hello pip,

    My humming along day has included a little blogging, a little pinning (love the ripple blankets), a little lyrebird party watching and listening in olinda, a visit to my elderly granparents, and will now finish nicely with some ocean trout for tea followed by the usual – crochet till either my arm, shoulder or wrist can't take it anymore…

    thanks for the (p)interesting inspiration – it may just be another ripple I have a go at tonight 🙂
