I had my first go at making a folded paper sculpture out of an old book – and it looks fabulous. Off now to find more old treasures to give new life to . . .

While I should probably be making other things, i've become completely distracted by making pom poms! I only just learned how to make them this week, so there's still a novelty factor going on. My favourite way to make them so far is with a fork. I'm so easily amused.

I'm going to make a mess!!!! and…..it's probably going to be quite a big one. Have heaps of art assignments and homework to do. Starting right now, getting off computer now. Happy Mothers Day to all Mums out there – and Mother Figures too! sue

I too am a granny-squaring… Making a couple of 'crochet snood' commissions. The sun is OUT on the south coast of the UK today after a MONTH of pretty much solid rain. (YUP… SOLID!)
I've never really understood the chevron stitch, so maybe a ripple blanket should be next on my list of stuff to do?…
    Enjoy

I'm determined … oh am I determined!! .. to master the art of crochet. I don't know what it is – I can knit, sew, type, cook and do all sorts of lovely things with my hands – but crochet, I don't know. So my mother's day wish is to sit for some time with my wool and hook in hand and do it!!

I'm making another softie to add to my etsy shop. My family of softies is taking over my sewing cave!

I am making and joining lots of granny squares inspired by your simple granny pattern. I hope to make a ripple blanket too, as I like repeating the same pattern over and over again – less thinking involved then making lots of small little things.

Other than that I am resting up and trying to get over this pesky cold that has arrived. Happy mothers day to you Pip 🙂
