Library Books I Want To Steal – Episode 1

March 13, 2009

Alice Waters – The Art of Simple Food

This book is great. You know Alice is the head honcho at Chez Panisse, right? You know she was the first spade to dig the dirt of the ‘School Garden’ movement, right? You know that. I know you do. But maybe you don’t know about this book. Far from fancy schmancy restaurant food, this book is a lovely tome detailing the simplest and the best ways to cook a whole lot of things. It’s my first (of many) installment in ‘Library Books I Want To Steal’. Join in on your own blog, if you want to.

xx Pip

I have the highest regard for Alice & Stephanie Alexander for the amazing work they have done with kids in schools! Btw I was sent a meme and now I'm passing it on, hope you don't mind 🙂

You should check out Adventurebox books. They are great for Kids aged 6-9 and have award winning writer Michael Morpurgo as a guest author in the upcoming March issue! Get his guest issue free here

Ooh, I love the cover too. I have been guilty of choosing a book by it’s cover many a time.

I have a copy of “The Fun don’t Stop” by Paula Yates that I “forgot” to take back to the library. In my early years of motherhood, she was my guru. What do you think I should do with it?It has a lot of sentimental value and I hate to think what my fine would be….14 years late…

I’ve been wanting to steal Companion Gardening in Australia by Judith Collins since forever.

Might have to join in on my own blog for this. 🙂
