Allison – for hosting a FANTASTIC week of the Best British!
A little bit about Allison: Joint CEO of Lark, along with her tall, crafty and very smart husband.
Likes – Paul’s fresh baked bread, Saturday Morning Garage Sales (especially if it is raining and she’s the only one that fronts up), teaching her two beautiful boys crafty skills, Copenhagen, anything hand-knitted (even a hand-knitted vacuum cleaner would appeal to this girl!), beautiful photography, farmers markets, op-shops, buying beautiful dresses, pen-pals, Twinkle, Ladybird Books, designing clever, careful things with a sweet twist, travelling, writing, devouring magazines, vintage fabrics and trims, beautiful old shops, her computer, decorating her lovely home in the Australian countryside, drinking Irish Breakfast tea and thinking about England.
Doesn’t Like – MacDonalds, people that say ‘that’s good enough’, being car-sick, rudeness.
Angela! Thank YOU for your adorable week of cute! It made my teeth ache it was so lovely!
A little bit about Angela : Heads up Sew Your Own Australia – with the support of her very groovy, kind and interesting guy.
Likes : Japanese Craft Magazines, chicken soup, Japanese Craft Books, sharing recipes, Japanese Craft-ing, Japanese Fabric, Swap cards (especially the dinky ones with animal photos on them – hopefully featuring a vase of dried flowers in the shot), her beautiful camera with which she takes a might fine shot, thinking about getting a lovely bike with a basket for Audrey (Audrey doesn’t know about this), sipping tiny tumblers of wine and chatting with crafty girls, ironing, sharing her shopping secrets (of which she has many -she’s the doyenne of hidden retail treasures), nice coffee, vintage greeting cards, photobooths, planning, organising, arranging, worrying about Audrey, laughing, reading blogs, beautiful design with a vintage twist.
Doesn’t Like : People who say ‘that’s good enough’, sloppiness, bad manners and catching public transport on rainy days.
Thank you Hostesses! If you’d like to check out everyone’s themed weekly posts – just trawl our side-bar (to the right) for all the links!

Thank you back (I hit the keys really hard as well hope you can tell), your blog is awesome, I love popping by and have been for years, I have met some beautiful Brown Owl girls because of you, learnt to crochet, crafted up a storm, you gave me a great excuse to buy some more craft books, cause I know ya of course, and, sometimes, when I am having a really crappy day, your blog makes me smile. You also liked my beautiful chickens page on facebook "Shazza the Fiery Red Head" and we were both so excited, so Thank You back for sharing so much with us, love ya!
No, Thank You
You're the acest and it is always such a pleasure to visit so thank you Pip. By the way, have just finished reading 'Make Hey' and think that it is the freshest and most inspiring crafting book to come out in ages – I don't way this lightly either. The joy in it was so special and the palette of colours had me at 'Hey'. Have a chocolatey Easter. Love Kate xxooxx.
