I found this book at my local Salvation Army last week.. the same one where I have found SO many Marcel Marlier illustrated beauties!
Absolutely gorgeous green-eyed, freckled girl illustrations by Bosch Bothe.. this one is Book 2… and from what i can see, the series goes up to Book 4.. it’s printed in Hungary.. (so perhaps it is another republished and amended title, like the Martine series!) Perhaps in Hungary it is called ‘The Adventures of Annuska’.. which would be so much prettier and more Hungarian!
The stories inside are ‘Marian and the Wild Duck’ and ‘Marian and the Elephant’…
Could be the beginning of a new collection.. I think!
