My mum had so many of these in the 70s and I thought they were daggy …and now I see them at vintage shops for an outrageous price that I wont pay ….off to learn me some macrame 🙂

My mum still has the macrame plant hangers my brother and I made for her when we were in school! Unfortunately the only thing I really remember about it was that we were provided with yukky "hession-y" type string which left lots of ouchy fibres stuck in my fingers. And that my little primary-school hands got very sore from all the knotting! LOL. I think it could possibly be more fun as an adult, using nicer string!
