When I got up this morning, Cam made me some toast and tea. And then I made coffee for Max and Me. And I sat on the couch watching a bit of ABC news TV and looking at the new lounge room (which was the old shop!) It’s coming together into something cute. I thought I would show you some of the cute bits I am loving about my new lounge room. Sometimes things don’t quite come together as a whole, for a while, but you can still appreciate the nice BITS of the whole. Until the whole is the way you want. Until the whole is right!
Have you got cute bits in your house? Do you remember to notice them?!

lovely, lovin the pom poms and crochet. I blogged about havens of niceness in my house http://lifeafteralfie.blogspot.com/2012/01/10-365-little-happy-corners.html otherwise I would be going crazy – the rest is a tip! I love reading your blog from the other side fo the world in frezzing cold scotland – keeps me cheery adn smiling, C x
I think one of your cute bits is a member of the Pinn family dolls. She looks like a cousin from a far away land. We have so many cute bits chez nous that a friend commented it looked like we were starting our own museum. Little simple amusements make life sweet.
You have a lovely style.
Pompoms + dumplings (in mag) = 2 of my favourite things
I spy my favourite yarn – Moda vera has done me proud with the amount of projects I have made with it. Love the matching pink yarn and toenails.
Look at you with your cute toe nail polish matching your blanket ๐
nice rug!
By the way where did you get those baskets from?
Pip your living room looks so cute! You always have so much style and charisma in everything you do;)
Do I spy the latest edition of Feast? I can't turn away from that magazine. And, I think I have a lady friend for that last picture. She's Swedish, I think.
Pip,
I can't even begin to tell you how strange it feels to have stood in your living room!

Yay for the new living room! It's so fun decorating and picking out where to put all of your favourite things in a new room. My favourite things to look at are cute knick knacks and wall art. Sometimes though you get so used to things you don't notice them anymore, which is a bit sad! Thanks for the reminder to appreciate our lovely surroundings a bit more! ๐

It's so true! We've been renovating my place & it's so easy to get lost in the big picture. This is a nice reminder to stop & appreciate the bits that have come together x
Definately! As a whole our little old house is ridiculous and impractical so I live for those nice spots that actually do work. They should be in a magazine shoot for sure! Never mind we only have one loo for 5 people and a teensy loungeroom and our patio is too hot to sit in! Just as well I have some nice green crockery near the front door and some flowery tins to keep me sane! sue ๐
