Yesterday we had band practice at Rin’s house. Max, Ari, Sarah, Joe and Mick are going to play at the Wedding. And The Bluebottles too! We headed to Rin’s to go through plans for the wedding and so the gang could run through the songs they are going to perform. It was pretty amazing. Rin and I sat at her kitchen table and listened to the guys (and Sarah) singing and playing in the next room. For the first time it dawned on us both how GREAT the wedding is going to be. It was a happy teary moment! Yay! Sob!
Sometimes amidst the details you can lose sight of the big picture! The big picture is good. It is great, in fact! It’s super important to stop and think about what you’re doing and why you’re doing it and how special it is, isn’t it? I am glad we had a little joyful jolt. I’m not saying I’m not going to freak out over the next week or so. BUT I am saying that I am going to try to remember to appreciate what we’re going through, instead of feeling all ‘Eeeek-y’!
Does that make sense? Are you a big picture person? Do you remember to think about the Good Stuff while it’s happening? Or do you sometimes get caught up in the details (in a stressed way!)

It's hard to remember, when you are in the thick of things, isn't it? I know we can do it! We can remind each other!! Congratulations on your impending wedding! It's such a big deal! I hope you can stay as calm and happy as possible!!! I know how hard that is!
Aw. Thanks so much. I'm really enjoying WRITING them! I am so glad that they are fun to read, too! x
I am sure it will get here! I am super sure! THANK YOU so much for making pompoms!!!
That is so cool! I never thought of that! It makes perfect sense!
Pip thanks so much for this post! – I’m trying to organise my own wedding and I'm still bogged down in not knowing where to start, there are just so many things to think about. And I am one of those who does get caught up in details and getting things right in a stressed way!! Whatever I’m working on, I like what I do to be perfect. So I must remember this post and make sure that my man and I do stop and think about what we are doing and why we are doing it and how special it is!
Pip! I'm addicted to these 'good thing' posts. Keep them coming, please, thankyou x
Oh! I wish I had thought to pretty up my pom-pom package. I was too busy trying to get it posted!! Did it yesterday, from Brisbane, if you don't already have it, I hope you will by Friday!! Angela.
Love the string art. I used string art to help teach class 6 geometry.
