I hope you are well today! I am well. I tagged along with the boys yesterday, to The Fitzroy Market. We had fun and they sold lots of their stuff and it was really great, actually. I saw lots of nice people, like Gill and Liz and Nat. I did not buy anything (win!) and we were home by 2.30 and ready to go out for a big lunch.
I don’t know what we are doing today. I think a bit of tidying up and some market shopping and some other general catching up stuff.
We are still looking for a tenant for our shop! If you know anyone, then tell them, please! The rent is pretty good for Brunswick St and the landlords are lovely!
I”m reading a book called ‘Before I Go To Sleep’ (for JustB Bookclub : join by commenting over here : you’ll need to scroll down a bit) It is an amazing book. I am halfway through and feel surly when I have to stop reading it! Maybe you will like it too?!
I am schlepping about in bed on my computer, wearing the cute spotty Gorman tee (it’s yellow, not blue) that Lucy and Esther gave me and thinking I should get dressed PROPERLY and face the day. I had jam toast and tea for breakfast and am coveting a potato borek and a latte!
What are you doing, petals? Are you having nice times? Are you making anything? I’m still working on the Larksfoot/Arcade blanket for my sister’s new bubba-to-be…
In other news : the Softies For Mirabel deadline is extended! We’re pushing it to the end of February, so that we can have an exhibition during quieter times : the festive season is a bit chock full for most people, so we figured that a bit of extra time was a good idea and would mean that we can garner more support for Mirabel (and you have more time to stitch too!) I’ll be posting the Mirabel arrivals this week, too!
What are you up to? Are you doing good stuff?
xx Pip (your pal)

I am soo glad you've extended Mirabel Softies, I looked and looked for the deadline, and when I did find it, I realised I should've been at the PO right that moment with a squad of softies under my arm, to get them there in time.
thankyou, thankyou for February.
I really hardly ever use plastic bags. But I didn't pack the car yesterday. We did bring home two which we then used to pick up dog poo. xx
Inspired by you, today I am schlepping. Facing the day be damned!
I love your work Pip but you gotta say no to the plastic bags. Dont you think? I really thought you would have all kinds of cool reusable shopping bags.
I am so happy you have extended the dead line for Softies for Mirabel, I had so many ideas and not enough time to put it all together but now I do, YAY, and loving the excuse to make softies, the last month at work has been crazy, hectic and very stressful and these Softies are just such joy to make YAY, super excited now!! Mx
I'm seconding Sally: Yay for the extension! That means I can make some more softies during the Christmas holidays. ๐

… and yes this is such a hectic time of year. My daughter's birthday party is next weekend so today I'll be trying to get my act together ready for that in between hanging out in the pool – it's going to be 36 in Perth today. YAY!!! Summer is here!!!
