My day. It was busy. I’m getting ready for a Pop-Up segment on The Circle tomorrow (that’s a TV show, for those of you not into telly or not in Australia.) I am chatting about Christmas decorating and wrapping ideas! I’ll be on around 11am (perhaps a bit before or a bit after… not sure!) I am wearing a nice dress I bought from Gorman. It’s all happening!
Yesterday I had a meeting, did some op-shopping and said Goodbye to the Ford Focus I have been driving around for a week. I have not spoken about it here, because I’m not one for product endorsements… BUT I was one of a few bloggers chosen to drive the Focus for one week and I am kinda glad. I drive a 1985 Mercedes at the moment. It’s got very slight air-con and you have to wind down the window and stick your hand outside to open the driver’s door. Also, if you don’t leave the steering wheel in the ‘home’ position it will lock the ignition and you won’t be able to drive ANYWHERE. Apart from that, I love the old Merc. The Ford let me open the door from the inside. It did not care where the steering wheel was positioned and it also had Bluetooth syncing for my phone. Thus, I spent a ridiculous amount of time listening to She & Him and driving to op-shops in the Eastern suburbs. It was NOT like an old dame, like my car, it was like a little dart. I’m stoked to have had a car-cation, to be honest. I’m back in Le Merc now, and she’s kind mad at me for leaving her tucked in the back lane-way for a whole week alone, but I’ll make it up to her.
I WAS planning on getting the Larksfoot and Arcade tutes up this week, but this Pop-Up TV thing might have put me off course a bit. I will try my very best, because I want you guys to get going on your blankies!
In other news, I am JustB-ing daily. I am reading this book, because I want a holiday and nice food. I am struggling with the stormy-humid Melbs weather. And I am buying plates. Above are some of the latest in the RiJo plate collection! We had a REALLY delicious dinner tonight, too. It was Skye Gyngell’s Meatloaf from How I Cook. Totally great, esp with the suggested tomato and bread sauce and some smashed, fried potatoes. Yum-attack.
In case you were wondering, we’re drawing the winner of the Giveaway in the next day or so, so stay tuned!
And that is my wreath, up there, the one that was in Frankie! I’m showing it off on telly tomorrow, too!
How are you? Are you okay? You look GOOD.
x Pip
* NB : Ford let me drive the car and gave me a tank full of fuel. There was no other commercial arrangement and no payment or promises to write/blog about the car. Merci.
