Ah. I really love this print by lovely Moira Millman. It is called Custard the Cat. I want both a cat and some custard now… Yep. Don’t you? And I want to drag out my dusty Gocco printer and make something. Don’t you? (I like sliced banana in my custard… and a sprinkling of coconut atop.)
xx Pip

Hi Pip! I just found your lovely blog and cheers for featuring my 'custard the cat' print:)
My mum used to make us banana custard (sliced bananas in custard) with passionfruit on top and a drizzle of cream. H-E-A-V-E-N!!
Custard – delicious! Never had it with banans (no, really) but with rhubarb, or better still rhubarb crumble, it's the ultimate comfort food to me. Fab print. C.x
My lovely boyfriend got me this print for my Christmas, but ordered it through my etsy account. He deleted all the confirmation emails etc. but didn't realise I would spot it in my purchase history. It was such a lovely gift that I didn't want him to find out I knew about it, so I practised looking surprised and hoped that the niceness of the print in real life would be enough to make my surprise look convincing. On Christmas morning everything was going very smoothly and I was saving my boyfriend's present until last… when disaster struck! I opened a parcel from my sister, saw some blue and yellow… Yes, my sister had got me a Custard The Cat print too! I couldn't take the print out of the box and watch Graham's little heart sink as his "surprise" present was ruined, so I had to come clean and confess all.
It all turned out well in the end, though. I was left feeling happy and contented that my sister and boyfriend were lovely people with great taste in presents and Moira Millman was kind enough to let me swap one Custard The Cat for another lovely print from her shop. Win!
That print is so cute and lovely. Something about it makes me happy 🙂 It's a similar style to the drawings in a favorite picture book I had as a kid.
Custard.. mh… is that like pudding? I don't think we have that in Germany…
I just wrote about banana custard! but it made people cry, so not sure if thats a good thing….
Miss T xx
i MUST have grated nutmeg on or in or both with custard. yummo. gayle
I love custard exactly the way you describe, Pip. What a pity bananas are such an out of pocket expense these days! I also like custard with sao biscuits either side and icing on top. Muh mmm.
Mmm…custard! I like my custard poured over ice cream, then I let it sit while the custard next to the icecream freezes – yum!! But my boyfriend thinks I am very weird!
