:: Happy Monday…!

August 8, 2011

Hey!

How are you?! I am good! I have been very busy trying to get some work finished and trying to imagine life without a shop, too!  Today I completed my presentation for this event at Craft Victoria.  And I have a meeting today with some ace people who are helping me to plan the future of Mike’s (the totally online phase!)

I have been rewriting my book proposal… and I’ve been working with a couple of nice people on our new website.  I have also been working on the sister book to Make Hey!  So it’s been pretty hectic.  Mr Ari has been home sick (and still is today), so that’s made things juggly and coughy, too.  Life is busy and good and a bit butterfly-ish! I am feeling excited and a bit panicky sick all at once! Kinda good… kinda alarming!  (Note to self, drink more soothing tea…!)

I have been making MUCH Chicken Teriyaki.  We love Chicken Teriyaki.  Do you like Chicken Teriyaki?  It is delish.  I know that to the untrained eye, those two images might look like the same meal… but actually they were taken 48 hours apart.  Teriyaki obsessed are we.

I was in The Age yesterday with a whole bunch of OTHER great people, too.  It is quite a shock to see yourself in the paper. It makes you want to bury your head under a pillow.  We went for a walk down Gertrude St at lunchtime, and a lady was sitting in the window of Arcadia reading this section WITH MY PICTURE FACING OUT ON TO THE STREET.  It is very weird to walk past yourself like that.  I did wave, but I didn’t wave back.  Rude me.  Totes up myself now that I’m in the weekend paper, methinks.

How are you?

xx your pal, Pip

Listening to :: Mary Queen of Shops on Desert Island Discs
Wearing :: A cardigan that I probably should throw out… but it is cosy, despite the pilly bits.  Due to the pilly bits, probs.
Watching :: Home by Novogratz :: over here  :: not always a fan of their work, but love watching them do it!
And also the Masterchef finale.  Of course Kate won. Of course she did. Kate is the next Julie.
Reading : The Sunday Age M Magazine.. tee hee!

    Congratulations on the exposure. I've booked in for the Craft and Design as a Career. I'II be the lady at the back all on her own looking pensive and sheepish and wishing she could fade into oblivion but I just have to go to this. Deep breaths I can do it, I can do it.
