It’s a bit of a rainy day, so I have just snapped these with Instagram. PROPER photos coming in a day or two, so that you can see the TRUE gorgeousness of all the pom poms you guys sent! This window will stay in until we close, so feel free to send pom poms and be part of the last ever Mike’s window project!
Can you see the lovely ones from The Peregrine School? (They have little name tags on them!!) And there is one from Ms CJ Gould in the USA! And there are a whole bunch which the Brunswick Brown Owls made (delivered by Debra!)
I really think I will curate some of these things in another space, once our shop is shut. So don’t feel too sad… it is just a shift, not a goodbye!
xx Pip
PS : we are LIVING on Teriyaki Chicken with rice and steamed broccoli at the moment! YUM!
Listening to :: Mario Testino’s Desert Island Discs (and hearing his tales of photographing Diana, Kate M, Jennifer A etc. Did you know he lived in a condemned hospital for seven years when he moved from Peru to London? True!)
Watching : Bethenny Ever After Episode Three. I KNOW. It’s trashy. But it makes me laugh and it’s been a really emotional week for the Mike family. Also Masterchef. Last night’s amazing Shannon Bennett dishes and the far out Martin Benn Cuttlefish were very inspiring, I thought.
Cooking : Teriyaki Chicken… although tonight we are having Jool’s Fave Beef Stew
Wearing : Cath Kidston clogs. They are old and are a bit like these ones, but blue with littler flowers.
Meeting : I saw Lyn in the street yesterday and that was really very nice. I needed a pep talk, so thanks Lyn!

The window looks fantastic. At our meet last night, Maggie Pie had a photo on her phone & we were trying to pick out the Brunswick Brown Owls pom-poms. We did have a great time, making them.

Ah, was wondering what was going to happen to the pom poms. I can see one of mine hanging up. I will have to post a link to your site. I have some friends who thought I'd gone all soft when I was making these seeing I said I didn't know why I was making them.

i've had a pompom #fail myself – it's finished..& tubular…& provided a source of 'laughter therapy" for the people i've been game enough to show. ("oooh! it's like a carpet-ball!")
