Creativity Hello

My Creative Space

February 5, 2009

(Surely you are meant to post only one image? Surely I don’t know when to stop!)

My creative space today is the garden and the kitchen. I’ve been potting new seedlings and baking. When I should be doing my Brown Owls work and other important worky stuff. I think I’m just a bit tired out by the heat and the kid’s starting back at school and other stuff. I need to be doing stuff to comfort and energize myself. And it’s all about the garden and the kitchen!

That’s the thing, though. A creative space could be the swimming pool where you swim laps and ponder the universe at every tumble turn. It could be the tram on the way to work when you’re writing stuff in your notebook and planning a better day. It could be in the bathtub late at night when everyone else is asleep and you FINALLY get to let your mind roam free. Don’t assume it’s all about STUDIO’s and the like. My friend Kootoyoo would not like that. Define your creative space yourself, in your own unique way. She would LOVE that. I promise. Pop over there to join in!

xx Pip

I thought so, it looks so good and crumbly and cheesy parmasan WOW! I’ll have to try that! Wish that’s what i was having for dinner now

Yep! I made a cheesy parmesan-y shortcrust pastry for the quiche. And a basic shortcrust for the tart! I really like to make my own pastry – and I think everyone should learn to – but I think if you can’t be fagged then use prepared pastry. It’s better to use shortcuts then not cook at all!

Oh and i love your plants in birdcages too. So Cute! I used to do that in my last garden but had completely forgotten about it after i moved. Thanks for reminding me!

WOW Pip! The Lemon Tart and Quiche you made look Beautiful. Great Job. Did you make the pastry from scratch?

Creative spaces should be everywhere. Im creating on my balcony tonight, sitting with a drink and my gorgeous greenery…..sketching and doodling

I would happily wait a bit longer for Brown owls stuff if I could come over for pie instead. That sounds fair?!
