When I was growing up, I was absolutely, totally mesmerized by books that claimed to ‘read your fortune’ or predict your character/future in some way. Of course my idea of who I was a little sketchy at 14 and 15, as perhaps your’s was?!
Maybe you’re like me… Linda Goodman’s LOVE SIGNS, Baby Name Books, Birth Stone Meanings, Horoscopes, Rising Signs… they all featured (rather selectively) in forming my view of myself as a tetchy teenager.
I’m kind of glad I know who I am now, but I felt a pang of that old ‘fitting-in-ness‘ when I found this listing of ‘The Symbolic Meaning of Flowers’. Of course I had to search for my favourites and see if they affirmed the kind of Pip that I am. I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading these! And I’m sure it will help you choose your flowers nicely over the Festive Season!
I DO wonder if you are a Peony or a Peach Blossom?
xx Pip
