A Week of Picnic – An Open Letter To The Picnic People

Dear Mikes,

Have you heard about the Mid-Century Recipe Club? Have you heard that they are planning a big crafty ladies PICNIC in November?

I thought I should “whisper” this news to you …. shhhhhh …. since it is National Picnic Week.

Who is the Mid-Century Recipe Club? Well, anyone in Melbourne with a collection of 1950’s – 1960’s recipe books or women’s magazines who might have the gall and zest to want to actually test drive (and share) some of these experiments in food is welcome to join!

They have been inspired by the great and Flickr-Famous Mid-Century Supper Club – and have been endorsed by them to go forward, create, show-off and eat!

They are planning this big picnic later in the Spring and peeps are invited to bring all their best picnic wear, don their flounciest frock and bring a plate of Mid-Century instructed food stuffs. Glory glory gee wizz!
