Softies for Mirabel – the auctions are all over red rover – as you know. You probably also know that betwixt all the crafty peeps, we raised just short of $3000 for The Mirabel Foundation! Go peeps! We received lots of gorgeous donations of hand sewn, machine sewn, knitted, felted, crocheted and embroidered softies – made with love by you guys. Thanks a bunch. And thanks if you bought one too!
Some went to new grown up homes – and some are waiting to go to the kids that Mirabel supports – for Christmas.
NOW… I know that some of you can’t sew to save yourself. And that’s just fine with me. (Although I reckon you should have a go some time….!) BUT, you can still help. So don’t feel helpless or left out! Here’s how…
- Send us OTHER things that you think the Mirabel kids might like!
- Colouring books, textas and pencils and crayons and other creative play stuff
- Small board games and puzzles
- Books – new and nice
- Other kid-safe, nice quality toys
- Baby toys
- Or things that you think would be a lovely surprise for sweet small people
Don’t wrap these – as Mirabel will need to sort them into age-appropriate groups – but DO send them to us and we’ll get them to Mirabel for their big wrap and mail session in December!
We would need your donation by 1st of December if you please. I’ll be running a bit of a count over the coming weeks – so you can see our progress!
