Amazing Vintage Illustrations from 1970s Russia

I was thinking about some images Linzie Hunter had uploaded to her Flickr (they were from a book I had when I was a wee gal)… and I was hoping I’d find something super good, along the lines of that book… And, well, I did!

I found a 1971 Russian ‘Learn To Speak English’ kind of book for children. It’s called ‘English In Pictures’ – and the credits are all in Russian – so I can’t even BEGIN to tell you who the illustrator might be. Whoever it was – they are the super-good – I’m sure you will agree.

I’ll be posting more of these to Flickr in the coming week – as they are really in need of a good share. (But not a good Cher – although, that could be great too.)
