ari had a middle of the night tummy ache… which resulted in a large bubble bath at 4am whilst reading this book… i love this book.. it is all about shops too… so perhaps that is why I have ended up a shop-keeper.
The illustrations are by Raymond Briggs.. and the story by Elfrida Vipont.
It is a WONDERFUL book!

Oh my goodness that book just brought a whole heap of memories of my childhood flooding back – I havent seen it for years but so loved it as a child.
