A Week of Picnic – Brown Sugar Pound Cake

Super adorable Kelly from Design Crush posted this Brown Sugar Pound Cake on her lovely blog.

I think it’s perfect picnic fare – and i bet it’s delicious – a bit like gingerbread, methinks. Slice it thick and layer with melty picnic vanilla-bean ice cream for best results. And perhaps a few berries strewn about too.

I will be making this later – as there is never enough cake in our house. For instance, at the moment there is only a quarter of a Loobylu‘s-Mum’s-Chocolate-Cake. Totally pov. The amount left, not the cake. The cake is RICH and DELICIOUS. Just like a French Film Star. Only cakey.
