Hello

Keen and Excellent Work

September 26, 2008

Mr Pettifer was my favourite teacher in Primary School. He read us really great stuff like Roald Dahl and let me skip a grade. Ya gotta love that. An extra year in the bank o life! I like the way he typed with the cursive golfball in the electric typewriter! He wore a jacket with leather patches on the sleeves and let me collect the lunch orders more often then I should.

I’m going to dig out one of my high school reports too – from the time when all I cared about was how short my school dress was and whether there were any apricot pies left in the Canteen. I got a D in music. I was scared of my guitar teacher as he was going out with one of the Year 12 girls. It was a bit creepy and i didn’t want him fiddling with the chords over my shoulder, so to speak.

Also in High School – all my reports say that I’m QUIET and MATURE. I didn’t do very well in Home Economics. And really very average at Art too. I’m loving it that things can change, and that your Primary School reports are often so very different to your High School ones.

xx Mikes

ps – let me know if you post one of your reports!
