I have heaps of photos I can’t show you till the book is released – darn it! Looking forward to doing a little ‘The Making of The Book’ series then!
At the moment our lovely designers are putting all the pages together – putting the words where they go, and the photos where they go, and the diagrams where they go. Lots of decisions to be made about layout and stuff – it’s pretty cool being part of all that!
My job is nearly all done – which is quite amazing after over 12 months and uncountable hours of work! I think I’m a bit sad to see it finished in some ways – it’s been such a big part of my life for such a long time!
It’s been a fairly mammoth task gathering up the right people, finding the right mix of projects, collecting craft supplies from all over the place, publisher meetings, designer meetings, photographer meeetings, testing patterns, writing directions, filing special things to be photographed, working out formatting, drawing diagrams, photo shoots… the list goes on. My house has been FULL of other people’s craft for so long now! And boxes of other people’s lovey things for the shoot….! It’s been really great! But really a very tight squeeze!
The projects all look so gorgeous – I know you’ll all want to have a go at lots of them – and it’s not ALL about sewing – there are some other suprises in there too! And lots of your favourite crafty people contributed projects – so you’ll have fun seeing what they came up with!
I can’t wait to show you…. I just can’t wait!
