Hello

Oh My Deer-Fox…

September 21, 2008

Yesterday – despite being on a bit of a tight deadline for the diagrams for the book – i decided to do a bit of sewing just for fun. Lovely Deer-Fox was the result. He really was meant to be a fox – but there is something VERY deer about him, don’t you think. He wears a vintage scarf at all times – perhaps inspired by Lee of Project Runway Australia. He’s a dapper, don’t you know? Deer-Fox and Lee.

You will note that the fabric on the breast and tail of DeerFox is by UmbrellaPrints – they kindly sent me some to sneak into the book photo-shoot – and now I’ve accidentally used a piece… I’m sure they won’t mind….. After all, what’s a DeerFox without a nice chest and a cute tail?

Apart from sewing, I’ve also been watching Project Runway USA Season 5 on YouTube – whilst I’ve been working – and was intrigued to see amongst the glam-rock designers, there’s a crafty girl from Portland – I’ll have to watch all the available eps now – to see if she’s nice or not! Is she nice? Do you know?!

Okay – I’m back to the drawing now – just in case Mary or Sim are reading…. Here I go.. draw draw draw… ummm… where’s my Fineliner 2.0? Perhaps some tea first… Cup of tea anyone?

xx Mikes
