Hello

alpacas, lamingtons, totes and teacups

May 17, 2007

Ooh.. i cut a pattern from one of our brown paper store bags.. and made this reversible tote today! It was fun… one side has the border print which is lovely tulips (on the left) .. and the other side has the print above the border (on the right).. which is little blossoms and leaves and branches… The fabric is lovely and I found it in an op-shop in Moe ages ago! I am completely pleased and will be making some for the shop.. with different fabrics each side.. so you can buy two bags in one really! They are bigger than A4 size.. and have a gusset on each side and at the bottom.. so plenty of room for all your magazines, crayons, buttons, lamingtons and the like!

These are the alpacas we met on Tuesday.. just before they looked scornfully in our direction and trotted off to a far-away corner of their paddock. I love alpacas.

This is my very favourite pink lamington from the bakery in Warragul. Delicious.
And I have added 6 coffee cups to my collection of Turi design ceramics. Yippee! And Cam found me two AMAZING arabia saucepans at the op-shop.. they have the most gorgeous fish illustrations on them! Yay! I will post some pics tomorrow!
xx and hurrah!

alpacas have come through a portal from another land i am sure. i would love to shrink a b it and grow pointy ears and charge away on their backs. that is what they are used to…and they keep you warm and toasty on cold nights on magic mountain tops….

Lovely bags. Gorgeous fabric. My mouth is watering from the pink lamington. My winner of best country bakery is the one in Yea. If you are ever up that way. They do the best Bee Stings …. And if you are ever further afield than Warragul, the Stratford bakery does the best baked pear cheesecakes.
