Hi gang!
Are you well? I am well. I’ve been doing some early morning crochet/coffee drinking/Brothers & Sisters watching. It’s a good way to start the day, a bit like getting in some ‘day off’ before the work day starts, if that makes any sense!
I wanted to let you know that my next round of eCourses has been released. You can see them here and you can read some testimonials from my students here.
These courses are one of my very favourite things that I get to do. There is almost nothing I like better than helping people to find their creative community and make the most of their creative talents, bloggy or otherwise. Whether you want to learn to blog, blog better or focus on your creative life and reconnect to the most creative bits of you, I have some smart, useful, practical advice and instruction for you. Yep.
To celebrate eCoursearama(and just to be exciting, basically), I’m giving away an advance copy of ‘Craft For The Soul‘, my new book! Yay!
All you need to do to be in the running to win is tell me why you’d like to win a copy. My favourite answer will win the advance copy. (Craft For The Soul does not hit shops until April 22nd!) I will post to anywhere in the world meaning you will get it WAY before it hits the stores. Cool, right?!
Entries close on Friday 6th March at noon, Melbourne time.
Winner contacted on Monday 9th March.
I will then post the winner their book straight away.
Good luck! (And don’t forget to check out my eCourses and see if that’s the kind of thing you’re into!)
x Pip
NB: Comments are moderated, so it might take a little while for yours to pop up, but rest assured it will pop up!

I love doing creative things as an escape from my 20+ chronic health problems. I’m pretty housebound so doing things with my hands helps my mind to wander …… very soothing for the soul.
My SOUL has been a little sad of late as my friends are all busy with their gorgeous families and it’s been hard to catch up with them to ‘create’ together like we used to. So I’ve recently embarked on a little journey to explore and join some local crafting groups to find some new crafty friends that I can make lovely crafty goodness with (and give to my other lovely friends to show them how much I care about them). What a beautiful world the crafty community is with so much inspiration and gorgeous people. My journey is helping me to explore different sides of myself and my ‘crafty passions’ and identify how I might ‘take things further’ and really LIVE IT. But I know your gorgeous new book would give me an extra little BOOST to really develop and mould my passions further and get the most out of craft to make my soul SMILE once again! Love your stuff Pip – you ARE inspiration.
Because crochet is so hot right now ???? plus I feel there may be more to crafting then granny squares (however satisfying they may be). If I spend as much time making things from your book (and consuming tea and biscuits) as I do relentlessly stalking blankies on your blog then I can’t wait to get my hands on it ??
Well this is awkward. Those question marks are little pictures on my phone and not meant to be strange questions. Now the whole comment has a higher pitch doesn’t it. Erm consider it artistic flair.
Haha! That happens sometimes! I like it. I am considering the hotness of crochet with a whole new fervour! x
Hi Pip, I would really love to win a copy of your book because….I have so many crafty things going on but nothing seems to be in place or have any direction, I want to get the most out of being creative and to enjoy the process. Thanks.
Hi Pip……
I first read about you and Meet me at Mikes shop in melbourne a few years ago when i was reading a craft magazine I got out of the Libray….
I was intrigued and inspired and looked you up and read your blogs straight away..
I too am a creative passionate person who loves to find inspiration and awe and wonder in the simple things in nature and the world..
Animals, seasons, sunrises, kids being kids, natures colours and sounds.. and lots more..
I love retro/ vintage gupsy inspired prints, fabric and crafts.
I would be thrilled to win your new book..
Well done you Pip
Leigh
With a hippity hop and a pippity pip
I need this book for my creative blip
Stitching, cutting, making, crafting
Sewing, knitting, designing, laughing.
The soul speaks when it creates
This book is my mouth’s bait
To talk and talk and talk
Craft in order for the soul to walk.
What a great competition Pip! Thanks for the opportunity to win. I would love to win a copy of your book, the more I hear about it the more I know it will be exactly what I will love reading, and crafting from. I have all your books so far, so this will sit nice and snug with them on my shelves if I am lucky enough to win!
Go Pip! Ecourses sound super too -am saving up!!
I would love a copy of this book. You pattern for the the fox bed quilt inspired me to learn how to quilt! I did a course and made a quilt (I was the youngest in the class by at least 30 years) I made a couple of quilts for family and I finally made the fox quilt as a gift for a best friend that finished her PHD. I was so proud to be able to give it to her. Something that came from my heart. It was so great to see it completed. I would love to be inspired with another project xx
I would love to win this because the more I read your blog the more I realise just how similar we are in the things we like. I am an artist and have a fine line between my art and craft but mostly I need to learn how to craft better. I want to pass this on to my daughters. Passing things down to your kids is something I strongly believe in. I still do many things my Grandmothers did including using their original kitchen bowls and other items, cooking from their hand written recipes or crocheting. I don’t want these things to be lost and a book like yours will help me as both my Grandmother’s have passed away.
Let’s face it, we all spend way too much time drooling on Pinterest. To have this book that is way more satisfying and probably includes things I will actually make, rather than everything I think I could make, but probably won’t, would be bliss. Always a lover of your work and tutorials – let’s get crafty!
I would love to have this book. I really need a creative kick up the backside.
I have been in a bit of a slump both emotionally and creatively, things are starting to look up but I still haven’t found my artistic mojo yet. This sounds like what I need and want.
Meet Me at Mikes opened my mind and soul up to the world of craft and sewing so many years ago. This was the starting point to my lifelong love for creating and so i feel its adpt that I thank you here today for giving me that precious gift. There is no question as to how your newest addition to your collection will further feed my passion for craft and provide me with many new ideas to pursue so I’d love a copy before it hits the shelves.
At night, I don’t have a cheeky wine, I have a cheeky crochet and chocolate. When the kids drive me crazy I take a hit of glitter, we all do! There’s nothing a crafty afternoon can’t fix. I don’t get a lot of time for it and I base a lot of the kids activities around it, but being constructive with craft is so soothing and happy making. I wish I could fit more of it into my life, it’s like fun exercise for my brain. One way or another I’m going to get my hands on your book, I can’t believe I have to wait until April!…I’m already getting it for one of my crafty friends! I really love what you’re sharing here and want to say thanks for all the amazing posts…I’m newish to the blog and am just having a great time reading it.
For the moment, I think I’ve got the hang of getting my 5 month old bub down for naps so I’ve managed to go back to having my cups of tea, just missing a good book for company.
I’ve just escaped the corporate world and am bringing back a healthy happy soul one day at a time through craft-a-noons. I never knew such simple things could be so nurturing and enriching. Inspiration is greatly welcome x
Hi Pip!
I’ve just made it through the first year of being a new Mum, I adore my little one. I am just starting back into the workforce and like for so many others, juggling baby, partner, work and housework leaves so little spare time and energy.
I feel like on this wonderful journey into family life I am losing myself a little, so I would like to put my precious free time to good, soul-nourishing use by tapping into my creativity (which is bubbling away under the surface, but needs to be let out to stretch its legs). I need to do this both for myself, so that I feel happier, freer and lighter, and to set an example for my little one that it is important to love others but still be true to yourself and your heart of hearts.
I think your book might be a wonderful resource to help me direct my creative energy out into the world instead of it swirling around within.
Xo
Because my soul feels fuller when I spend time creating, making, pondering, sensing the world around me through a craft. It’s the best kind of nourishment there is.
Hi Pip,
I am brand new to crochet, and have taught myself by watching online videos. Your website attracted me with your exuberant use of fun color! I love playing with color, especially different fibers, yarn, fabric and paint. I am excited to have a chance to win a copy of your book, to encourage my creative self! Thanks,
Karen
Because my souls needs more craft inspiration.. Home days with mon Bébé would love this (now to master the art of one handed crafting and crochet!) xx
Morning I am nominating my daughter who is a major crafter and feels like I have all the books as I love books. So what better than your book for Gaia’s own collection of craft books and than I will get to share too.
I would love to win a copy of your new book. This would help heaps with upcoming art projects I am apart of. I find 5 minutes of inspiration and then it disappears. I don’t want it to disappear. Art and craft are my soul.
Have a creative weekend! xx
Our bodies need food
And craft is for our souls
Hands like making things
Like jewellery and dolls
It is truly amazing that something lovely can be crafted from simple materials and good instructions from a super teacher. xx
I’d LOVE to win Craft for the Soul because I love your blog, I love your ecourses, I love your ebook AND I think I’m just about to jump into soulful crafty blogging and would Love to read it for guidance & to share it with my family! Thanks Pip 🙂
Hi Pip. I’ve lost my creative mojo and need to get it back! Too much time and brain space spent on working, chasing after kids and uninspiring routine stuff that seems to leave me short on time. I need to prioritise my own creativity and build some craft time into my day to make my soul smile! Thanks for the chance to win 🙂
Being a full time carer for my 91 yo gorgeous mum, im home 24/7 except for 4 hrs on Saturday, when i have a bit of time to myself. I would love to be crafty and after seeing all your gorgeous posts, on crocheting, cooking and all the lovely things you do, I would really love to learn to be a bit more creative and crafty. I would love a copy of your fab book to get me going as I have no idea where to start. Congrats on your new book, you are pretty awesome xx
Hiya Pip,
Being creative is absolutely necessary for my soul. I am drawn to something creative everyday. A little bit of crochet (I am working on a ripple blanket for my QS bed) a few stitches on an embroidery, a short potter in the vegie patch or a bit a bit of doodling before bed. I love the way you inspire others and make us all feel so very welcome. Congratulations on another book. I don’t own any of them but i would love to start with this one. Your other books are regularly borrowed from my local library for a crafty pick-me-up! Thanks.
I’d love to win a copy of this book so that I can feed the creative beast inside of me who has an insatiable appetite.
Your giveaway ends a whskr short of my birthday on the 9th and I’d love to have it for then! Thanks to you I now have a craft-filled world full of colour, fun and inspiration Thanks to you I am sewing again, and crafting again. Thanks for being a life changer!
I would love a copy of your book. Crafting is my meditation. I borrowed your other book but as a SAHM with 3 kidlets ownership of books for myself are a rarity 🙁
I would love to win it but wither way I am excited to see your new book when it’s out!!!
Cheers for the chance.
My Crafty lil soul is always in need of a bit of TLC and a gorgeous book would deffo keep it going for a time and once my crafty sould is happy I will happily pass it on to my girls to nurture their crafty-mess.
Thanks for the chance
Nicky

Because I love crafting, because your blog and books are so cute and because I want some of that cuteness to rub off. 🙂
My soul could good with a little crafting ?
Hmmm why do I want to win your book, and why – let’s see…. because it is bloody gorgeous, you are amazing and I want to! Is that okay?! x
I’d love to win your book – so I can gift it to my very creative daughter! With fixed income, I haven’t the money to buy things like this that I’d like so much to purchase.
She is the most creative person I know, but needs some help in directing that creativity – as her mind tends to try to work on several things at one time….she could easily earn a good living by her own hand – IF she knew how to direct her creative energy, she would fly! I wish you could meet her…sweet, loving – and has so many ideas cramming that beautiful head of hers.
If I don’t win it, I’ll have to save til next Christmas in hopes of giving it to her.

POBox42 Soul is of the hands that turn the hook to weave the stitches with the yarn colors of the rainbow. Eyes turned to the rainbow of colors made like brush strokes of a painting like a camera taking in each image. The heartbeat extends every beat given to the thoughts of our soul. The soul weaves the beauty thru our physical being. The invisible force called Soul creatse and lives on forever. I would love your wonderful book Pip. Thank You for this venture of Creativity of the soul..
I would love this book because since I was diagnosed with a serious illness, which made me take a good look at my life, I discovered that craft is my soul. Craft is what I live and breathe and think about all day since I chose to do the things that make me happy (and I think anything you do is awesome anyway)
I taught myself to crochet last month after bookmarking your blog a few years ago. I’m making squares on the train each day. I’m in my final year of dental school and it’s intense, very stressful, so craft is proving good for a few things – my hands, for dexterity, my teeth, because I only stop clenching when I’m crocheting, and my patience, for my patients. That feels like soul.
I’d love a copy of the book because I’ve got probably 40 years of this career ahead and I’m forseeing a few craft projects as stress management along the way. It’s for the greater good.
At the beginning of last year I started a blog with Pip course. Straight away I started enjoying it. In the third week I was struck with the most hideous morning sickness and just looking at a computer screen made me sick. This made me really sad as I was having so much fun! I’m hoping that sometime in the next year that I will be able to start another blog with Pip course all over again. ( I hope your planning on running them for a while 🙂 ) But until then, I’m hoping to get some inspiration and reignite some of my passions by delving into your new book. Can’t wait!
During this long winter we’ve had in the UK (they always seem to last an eternity…made harder seeing all my Aussie friends and family’s summer pics on Instagram! Ha!), I’ve been rediscovering my love of handicrafts. But it’s not just about keeping the hands busy, I’ve discovered how good it is for the soul too – hence, why I’m SO keen to read your book Pip! My main creative pursuit – writing – is also my day job. I work as an editor by day, write a book and bits of freelance journalism at night and on the weekends, so my mind feels fried a lot of the time. Getting back into embroidery, cross stitch and learning to crochet (I’m doing a beginners class next week) has been wonderful. I’m curious to hear what else you have to say on the subject! Any book on creativity tends to light my fire. Looking forward to reading it regardless of whether I’m the lucky winner 🙂 xx
Oh be still my beating heart! A new book from Pip, who wouldn’t want to win one?
I would actually love to win your book Pip so I can surprise my sister. She lives in NSW, I live in WA but we are so close and she is a craft & sewing guru. She makes her own dresses, I can’t thread a needle. She cross-stitches and knits & makes things effortlessly and I watch in awe. She is a mum to a one year old and I am sure would love a new craft book by Pip to make her day. A wonderful prize Pip x
I would love to win this so much. Craft does indeed nurture the soul, or it does mine at least. Your books all look so wonderful and make my fingers itch to make something. It would also make my birthday if I found out I had won a copy of one of your books.
I’ve been stalking this book since you first mentioned it – the title just speaks to me! I honestly feel like my soul is nutured and replenished when I craft, it’s not a hobby or luxury for me, it’s a necessity… So I feel like you wrote for me.. obvs not me personally, but peeps like me. And I have to admit, I’m totally in love with the gorgeous image on the cover too … and the blankie!! x
Oh Pip, I’d love to win a copy of your fab new book because, honestly, I only ever get to read The Gruffalo, Miffy goes to the Zoo and Grug this & Grug that & Grug did this then that… it’s driving me barmy! I long for the pre-kiddy days of actually buying & then reading a book all for me! ….Please give my adulthood back to me, please!
Oh my goodness! How exciting…
I am really looking forward to getting a copy of your new book (whether I win it here…or order it!…either way I WILL OWN IT!)
I am about to go on Maternity leave and I know I will enjoy a few quiet moments to myself before little Rainbow arrives…and once she does I know I will enjoy little moments…even though they might be few and far between to begin with, to craft.
AND as an added bonus my birthday is March 15th 😉
Thank you Pip for being so crafty and inspiring me and so many others xxx
Because I need to do more of what makes me happy! 🙂
…oops those ??s we’re meant to be emoticons! xo
Hi Pip,
I’d love to win an advanced copy of your book. I love your books & find them very inspiring & by how you’ve described this one, I’m hoping it will help me with honing in on a direction to take my own creative ideas.. I’ve been pinning craft posts & reading creative blogs & collecting craft supplies for years & years & ran a brown owls group for a while but I’ve never completely known which direction to take my creativity. I use to make jewellery & want to have an etsy store, then put it off to have my last child & then realised I don’t think I want to make the same things over & over again but rather help others make stuff & show people that anyone can be creative. I get huge bursts of creative inspiration & then periods of procrastination trying to work out which way to take my ‘vision’ & have a bit of self doubt & that ‘things have to be just right first’ mentality but now as my kiddies are that bit older I’d like to really focus on achieving my creative dreams I’m hoping to really spread some creativity around & share the happiness that craft brings. I definitely think your book & I can be friends ??
Thanks for always being so cheerful, Katie.
My soul needs a bit of crafting. I have a feeling that your book would be just the ‘self help’ that I need!
why wouldn’t I want to win this? Oh and also because I’m working on becoming the crafter that I know I am, even if I’ve had years of not believing in myself and I need all the help I can get.
I love the cover, i just want to look at it, I’ll have to wipe the drolle from the cover before looking inside !!! When I look inside, be inspired to make and create…xx
A copy for my lovely friend, who has had life throw her more curveballs in the past couple of years than most of us deal with ever, would be a wonder-full thing.
I would love to win a copy of your book, because my baby is due at the same time your book baby is due to hit the shelves! And I think it would make perfect hospital and new baby feeding reading! Anything to distract me from all those how-to baby books!! I think it will be super important that I don’t lose my creative juice when I get busy with this baby and I’m sure your beautiful book would keep me inspired and crafty. Love your work Lady Lincolne.
Because you have been tempting and teasing me for months about this book (via social media 🙂 ) and I cannot wait until late April to get my hands on it!!
I need this one to line up next to all my pretty Pip books on the bookshelf! MY BOOKSHELF IS INCOMPLETE WITHOUT IT why would you do that to my bookshelf, Pip?! That’s just cruel! You will hurt my bookshelf’s feelings! 😀 😀 😀
What a wonderful competition. Good on you and your pending book release! I need help, I LOVE being creative. Though I do need a good push!! I’m striving for the AH-HA moment where I find my true creative passion and run with it! I’m determined to make 2015 the year where dreams and reality collide. I just need to BELIEVE.
Your book title reminds me of the feeling I get after a hard days work when I reach down next to my chair and pull out my knitting, or crocheting, or embroidery. (Doesnt everyone have more than one thing on the go at the same time?) So glad I found your blog – you are like a kindred spirit! I cant wait to open the book and see what is inside.
New years resolution: to be a craftactivist instead of craftpassivist :S
Because it would be nice 🙂
I would love to win a copy of your new wonderful book to complete my collection of pip lincolne books!
